It's (not always) All Good

We are confident that God
is able to orchestrate everything
to work toward something
good and beautiful
when we love Him and
accept His invitation to live
according to His plan.
Romans 8:28

One of today's maxims is:
"It's all good."
It is a lie. It is not all good.
People want to think that everything
works out in the end.
That is not true for everyone.
But the Bible describes certain people
who do have the right to say, "It's all good."
For those who love God and live
according to His plan,
He really does orchestrate everything to work
toward something good and beautiful.
So we have confidence--
not in the ability of happenstance
to work out the details of circumstance--
but in the character of God.
Every day I need to reset my confidence in Him.
"That's not what I thought it would look like.
Oh, but You are able to orchestrate
that situation and turn it for good."
The Lord can pour His favor on us
and cause us to be blessed
even in the midst of circumstances
that don't seem good.
It is called favor.
It is found in His presence.

Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love
shall follow me all the days of my life,
and through the length of my days,
His presence shall be my dwelling place.
Psalm 23
