Come Up

And the Lord said to Moses,
Come up to Me on the mountain and stay there...
Exodus 24:12
Yesterday in Logic class, I taught why symbols are
so important when studying that subject.
It removes the words that can cloud analysis.
We can think true conclusions are valid
simply because they are true.
We can miss that they are not "logical."
But when we replace the specifics with variables,
we don't get caught up in the emotion of meaning.
We can clearly see into the argument.
Emotions today seem overwhelming
and there are moments
I don't know where to turn.
But I hear Him tell me to "come up to Him"
and put symbols into my circumstances.
Because circumstances don't change truth.
And I don't need to be clouded by emotions.
He is faithful and He is good.
I recognize that although I need wisdom
for things I am facing,
I won't get it by staring into the situations.
So, I rely on the truth of Ephesians 2,
He seated us with Him in the heavenly realms
because we are united with Christ Jesus.
Lord, I ask to stay with You "on the mountain."
There is no grace for lowland living today.
If I don't anchor myself to You,
the power of my emotions
will suck all life out of me.
I am seated with You in heavenly realms.
So that we can win this day.
God, I decree that You win.
And may You get glory from this life
that is desperate for Your touch.

  1. This may be of little comfort given what it must have taken to produce this post, but this is hands down your best one yet! Such depth of meaning and application - bless you sister for what it cost.
