New Every Morning

There's one other thing I remember,
and remembering, I keep a grip on hope:
God's loyal love and His merciful love
couldn't have dried up.
They're created new every morning.
How great your faithfulness!
It's a good thing to quietly hope,
quietly hope for help from God.
When life is heavy and hard to take,
go off by yourself. Enter the silence.
Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Lamentations 3 (selections)

I love the different translations of the Bible.
We can get familiar with the verse that says
His mercies are new every  morning.
But reading it in the Message
is like reading it for the first time again.
His loyal love and His merciful love
are created new each morning.
The mistakes I make
and the challenges I face
look different every day...
He creates new mercy and love for me daily,
specifically for the day I am in.
What a promise of hope!
It is about His faithfulness to us.

I don't know that there is ever a day
that I don't need some kind of help.
When things crash down around me,
in both big and little ways,
I can go off by myself--
even if for five minutes--
and wait for His hope to appear.
It can come as peace,
appear as trust, or show up as
a word of encouragement.
If I can still my soul,
He will lead me beside the waters
and restore me to Himself.
His mercy and His love
are created new every morning.
And every day contains a morning.
A promise that His hope will appear.
