Deep and Gentle

Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
God can do anything, you know—
far more than you could ever imagine or guess or
request in your wildest dreams!
He does it not by pushing us around
but by working within us,
His Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Eph 4
God is working in me through His Holy Spirit.
This is often a faith statement.
His gentle workings can't always be observed.
They sometimes feel too deep to be noticed.
But if I am living surrendered to His will,
God is working in my life.
Surrender is my winning position.
If I walk surrendered, I am growing.
Yesterday was cold, even snowy,
and I just wanted to get home from school and stay there.
I was hoping Dave wasn't serious
about going to the gym again.
Oh, he was.
No discipline is pleasant at the time,
but painful. In the end, however...
Though I have only been back at the gym for two days,
my muscles are feeling the pain of growth.
I am sore and I tell myself, That is a good thing.
God is working in me, by His spirit,
to change me more into His image.
I know these training days are going to remind me
of who I am at a deeper level.
I love being trained to be more His.
What a privilege that His spirit is alive in me,
working deeply and gently.
Your gentleness is such a gift, Lord.
Thank You for choosing to work with me.
You are so good.
