Steadfast Heart

There is power in the blood of Jesus
which can be released over every part of our being.
I have been reading a prayer book written by a Coptic monk
which goes through all the Scriptures regarding
the blood of Jesus and the power it has
to cleanse us and redeem us from all sin.
Because it is all the Word of God,
it is all effective, all true, all powerful.
This morning I have been declaring
the power of the blood of Jesus over my heart,
my steadfast heart.
"My heart will not be a faint heart that disheartens other hearts,
but a steadfast and secure heart."
Blessed are those who fear the LORD,
who find great delight in his commands.
They will have no fear of bad news;
their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;
in the end they will look in triumph on their foes. Ps 112
"My heart will be a clean, purified heart with no anxious thoughts."
Blessed man, blessed woman, who fear God...
Unfazed by rumor and gossip,
Heart ready, trusting in God,
Spirit firm, unperturbed
An honored life! A beautiful life! Ps 51
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
That I may trust You and believe You
and seek You with my whole heart,
that You may be found by me.

  1. I have been praying through the same portion-for my own heart, the hearts of my family, the collective heart of our community and the 'heart' of the nation....particularly to have "sincere hearts in full assurance of faith". Read Hebrews 10:22-23 in the Amplified version! I pray that you are able to "lean your entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness". Bless you friend!

  2. And I was just reading through that very same little yet powerful book this morning! I so agree with commanding "no anxious thoughts" in my heart today. I was tempted to be anxious about something that I was praying about this morning but instead chose to trust God. About 10 minutes ago I found out that God heard my cry and answered my prayer!!! We have every reason to live every day with steadfast, secure hearts! Love you Kath!
