To Praise Him

Oh, that men would praise the Lord
for His goodness and loving-kindness
and His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good...
He turns a wilderness into a pool of water
and a dry ground into water springs;
And there He makes the hungry to dwell,
that they may prepare a city for habitation,
And sow fields, and plant vineyards which yield fruits of increase.
He blesses them also...
Psalm 107

Some morning I know nothing except that
the Lord is worthy of praise.
He satisfies our longing soul,
and He fills our hungry soul with good.
He makes the hungry to dwell so that
He may have a city.
And He blesses us.
Lord, thank You for Your mercy and Your loving kindness.
For Your goodness to me.
You have greatly blessed me
and I am so grateful that You came
and rescued me.
Where would I go if not to Your loving arms?
Who would I be if not for Your child?
Why would I be if not so You could have a city?
Oh, that I would praise You for
all that is due Your name.
One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, in His presence,
all the days of my life,
to behold and gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
For in the day of trouble,
He will hide me in His shelter;
in the secret place of His tent will He hide me;
He will set me high upon a rock.
