A Drink of Water

Blessed be God,
who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can encourage others
with the comfort we have received.
1 Corinthians 1:3-4
This is the first time I have written here twice in one day.
But I can't stop thinking about how big God is.
And faithful.
This blog has been a journey of trust and obedience.
God told me a couple months ago
that if I would write in faith,
He would do immeasurably more
than I could ask or imagine.
And He has.
Yesterday I told a friend that this blog
would likely have over 1,000 visits in a couple days.
I logged on last night, only to find
that it was already well over that number.

I have only been writing for a month and a half
so I think that is miraculous.
By popular blog standards, it may be nothing.
But to me, it is astounding.
So, thank you to all who have been reading
and who have become followers.
Many have told me that they have tried
to leave comments and have not been able.
I am hoping to fix that because
I want your words to be added to these here.
I am trying to figure that out.

My heart is also that those who don't know Him
or don't have opportunity to be encouraged by others
would stop by for a "drink of water"
and be refreshed,
getting a taste of Hs goodness.
If you know of anyone who needs that,
please pass this on.
All I want is for His words to go out through mine
bringing encouragement and comfort
to anyone who reads.
Whatever He has helped me through,
whatever He has allowed me to see,
whatever grace He has poured over my life,
may it be used to touch others in the same way.
"For all the promises of God in Him are yea,
and in Him Amen,
unto the glory of God
by us."
I stand in awe of His goodness.
